⭐ Teens 14โ€“17 are welcome!

  • Use your own email for your POINT account (not a parent’s) so your service hours are counted in your name.
  • Have your parent or guardian’s name and email ready for the application.
  • A parent or guardian reviews Part B of the volunteer waiver with you before you agree.
  • No background check needed. You’ll serve alongside a cleared adult.

Questions? We’ve got answers

Can teens volunteer?

Yes! Volunteers ages 14โ€“17 are welcome and must serve alongside a cleared adult. Area Safety Monitors must be 21+, and Santa Photographers 18+.

How do teens get credit for service hours?

Create your POINT account with your own email address. Your hours are recorded when you check in and out at the kiosk, and you can print an hours report from POINT. AIW Foundation can also provide a signed service letter.

Why do adults need a background check?

Many of the children and families we serve are in foster care. Every adult 18+ completes a free Checkr screen before serving. It’s the same standard the host organizations hold for their own staff and leaders.

What should I bring and wear?

A photo ID, a water bottle, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and clothes for the weather, since several stations are outdoors. Festive holiday attire is welcome!

How do I check in and out?

Scan the POINT QR code at the Volunteer Check-In table when you arrive and again when you leave, or use the check-in kiosk. Please log in to the POINT app before December 5.

When does clean-up start?

No clean-up or teardown begins before 2:30 PM, and only when Jingle Bell Christmas Coordinators give the OK. Breakdown crew arrives at 2:15 PM for a short briefing.
